I've got 2 phone interviews lined up so hopefully they go well but I'm expecting a...

Re: Moving to Tampa in Sept. Here's my plan and concerns.

Aye, I'm learning that. I've had some contact with an Agent who is putting me forward for a position and he's told me there will be an interview with HR, one with my potential boss, one with her peer...

Re: Moving to Tampa in Sept. Here's my plan and concerns.

It looks like we've got an apt. Have to pay a months rent as security deposit, which is fine. Now we just have to get our wire transfer account activated which has been delayed until we can provide...

Re: Moving to Tampa in Sept. Here's my plan and concerns.

Cheers guys, some helpful stuff.

Not encouraging to hear about a 2 and a half month delay on the SSN due to a mismatch because that's exactly the reason I was given...although he seemed to think...

Re: Moving to Tampa in Sept. Here's my plan and concerns.

Ahh...that's interesting.

In Florida it's a 50 question test with an 80% pass mark.

Re: Moving to Tampa in Sept. UPDATE on progress

Thanks, Yellowlemon.

That's quite reassuring, actually.

In terms of the DMV I can already see issues with the 2 proofs of address as we have none...although we should have some shortly (a lease...

Re: Moving to Tampa in Sept. UPDATE on progress

So we landed on Tuesday night and got straight to on Wednesday. However, nothing is going to plan.

On Wednesday we couldn't find the SS office so scrapped that. We then went to the bank where my...

Re: Getting a job in Texas/California from the UK

I'm going to edit it and include a VOIP number. I've recently changed all the spelling too so hopefully I get a bit more success over the coming weeks.

Like Dan said, it'd be nice to have...

Re: Getting a job in Texas/California from the UK

Aye, i seen that on here so I applied for an AMEX and have been using it for the past few weeks.

I actually used to have an AMEX but it was a corporate account. Technically it was in my name and I...

Re: Getting a job in Texas/California from the UK

The reality is that they are though. As a contractor my CV has served me well in Scotland. My application:interview hit rate has been pretty high and I've never been short of contact from Agents so...

Re: Medical Cover costs in Florida

This gets confusing very quickly.

I've read the wiki and had a look at the temporary insurers.

Re: Moving to Tampa in Sept. Here's my plan and concerns.

Re: Moving to Tampa in Sept. Here's my plan and concerns.
