That's right, it doesn't really matter where the agent is as long as MARA registered and that you feel you'll be in good hands. With technology nowadays anyone can be anywhere and work can be done....

it seems that for your occupation, you would need to have around 75 points these days to be invited to apply for a189vusa subclass otherwise you'll be waiting a long time.

The assessment letter issued by EA is valid indefinitely. However, DIBP requires that the assessment letter be no older than 3 years old. You may just need an updated letter of assessment instead.
