Thanks Davita, I'd already seen your termination post which is useful. As I'm unsure whether my next trip to Malaysia will be before or after my MM2H expires I'm trying to find out what would happen...

I can't find my original HSBC deposit letter but what you say makes sense while your MM2H visa is still current. However, once it has expired & you're no longer...

Was there for 4 days last October, staying with friends in Tanjung Bungah while en route to Indonesia. Lots of new things/places to discover but many of the favourite old haunts still there.

This was one of our favourite events while living in Penang 2007-10 so I can recommend it. Helped by having made some German/Swiss friends through Uplands school but looking forward to going again...

Thanks for all the feedback.

I'm hoping that we'll be treated as columbine suggests, i.e. renewal criteria will be the same as at time of our application which was FD only & no monthly income...
