Re: Any regrets about moving back to the UK?

If you don't mind me asking, what took you back 4 times to the UK before settling in Cyprus? That must've been a lot of upheaval for you. I'm sure Cyprus is a fine place, looks gorgeous.

Re: Any regrets about moving back to the UK?

Hi Elizabeth, sounds like you really enjoy your location. Are you in the Wirral? I've thought of moving to Chester, or nearby. Some parts of the Wirral look nice. Cheaper houses. Liverpool is a...

Re: Moving back to the UK after 10 years in canada!

Very Best of Luck. For Shipping please Don't use Bekins, Parksville, Vancouver Island. Overpriced, unreliable quotes, they wanted way more than quoted when they came to move our stuff. Didn't...

Hi CalgaryPete,

Just wondered how it's going at this point as we stroll into August? Will you continue in Lancashire? Lots of nice places there and cheaper than South of England of course if you...

Re: Maple Ridge BC commute to Abbotsford /Coquitlam...

Yes that's a bummer. No one knows just how sustainable that really is. When we lived on Vancouver Island, even then house prices were way too high. There was a point 3 years or so ago, when it...

Re: Back to UK then returned to Canada... how was it for you?

Interesting Mike. Good that you get some company support to relocate.

Also the vital point of having family in NA, more than Europe now for you. That's great. In our case we have no family in...

Re: Chester /North Wales area for your Home...

Haven't looked at Stockport per se, though have family in Cheadle nearby. Manchester connections good I think for City Centre, but Chester pretty good too and nicely placed.

Cheers.

Re: Maple Ridge BC commute to Abbotsford /Coquitlam...

Great detail Withabix. Useful to know. I'll look at these things when I'm in the area checking things out. One thing for sure, we'd need to buy 'away from main roads' - cul de sac or such like. ...

Re: Back to UK then returned to Canada... how was it for you?

Yeah Pacific summers are more reliable than the UK in that sense. Such are weather patterns, the UK is a bit short changed on that score. Fine except when you plan BBQ /outdoor events. I actually...

Re: Back to UK then returned to Canada... how was it for you?

Now back 18 months. After a few months we thought better to be in Canada. But gave it a decent amount of time. We've looked at different parts of the UK and opportunities. We had some good visits...

Re: Maple Ridge BC commute to Abbotsford /Coquitlam...

Yes Maple Ridge seems a good area to live. With home prices in Vancouver absurdly over valued, I guess MR enjoys popularity, being a bit cheaper. Saw some reasonable town homes 'end of Terraced' ...

Re: Maple Ridge BC commute to Abbotsford /Coquitlam...

Thanks for the responses and quality info. Good to have local insight. Maple Ridge and Abbotsford 'look close' on the map... but for sure with traffic/junctions it's a bit of a commute I guess. It...
