Appreciate the help on this one! Interest is/ will be on my UK self assessment - very glad I don't have to do a USA return.

Don't have a Visa anymore or any other ties to the USA.

The EZ pass 'should' be an option on all hire cars from JFK. It's a transmitter that allows you to pass through the toll gates without stopping.

You can add it as a charged option when you rent...

And just as an update - this worked :)

Background check at the gun store take - passport, I-94, Visa, driving licence, hunting licence, firearms licence. All done in 2hrs.

We drove a lot of SUVs when we came over 2 years ago and went with the explorer sport. I know a lot of others on the forum have one also.
