Good for her. I also know someone who acquired British Citizenship in 2 years.
Unfortunately I have to wait for 5 years since the rules have changed now.
It's really difficult for me to travel...

The 2 years route for ILR was only for partners who applied as a partner before 9 July 2012.

I have already looked into that and as far as I know, as long as I don't stay out of the UK for 6 consecutive months or longer I will be fine. :)

VFS is an outsourced company of several countries in EU (Italy, Netherlands, Austria, Spain, Germany, Belgium) to accept visa applications on their behalf.

Thanks a lot to the replies. This is also what I came out with after doing research.
I'm planning to get a UK residence card which costs 85 GBP coz it's a lot easier than getting a shengen visa....

Hi. Were planning to travel to some EU countries but getting a shengen visa is so hard than how it sounds like.
Has anybody used a UK residence card to travel to shengen areas?

We use LBC to send money to either pick up at a branch or send to a bank card in Philippines(in my case, I use BPI bank account). You can send up to 40,000 GBP.
It's only 2.99 GBP per transaction....
