Hey there, I was one of the people who got turned down by WES, but approved by The university of Toronto last year.

To be clear, that was for a 2 year national diploma though in music technology...

Just got through to the CIC hotline and they confirmed that the Letter Of Employment is only relevant to people who are already working, and is confirmation of said employment.

I see.

I answered yes to that, but there's question at the end that asks if there was an LMIA for it and I said no... They should make it clearer!

I found other people suggesting it's because I've said I have a job offer. I don't have an LMIA, but got my PNP.

Some suggested to remove the info about the job offer as it doesn't affect the CRS...

But I do have all my documents....I just have no idea what the Letter of Employment is, or how it differs from the Offer of Employment letter? There's no explanation on the site, and no help dialogue...

Nope, I've only ever lived in the UK, and had extended trips to BC. I lived there from November 18th to May 1st, so that's nearly 6 months, whilst I secured work.

Why don't you open a Canadian bank account, and then use TransferWise or similar to move money into the account, and then use your Canadian debit card as normal?

I have fantastic news! CES have rated my qualification as equivalent to a "2 year diploma from a recognized college or institute of technology".

It does highlight that the agencies CIC recommend...

It all made sense. A BTEC level 3 will get you onto most proper bachelor undergrad courses. IT did for me anyway.

I think that the core thing, there are various types of BTEC diploma qualification...
