Sounds lovely guys but we're only getting a couple of days there with the kids in tow to get an initial feel for the area so not sure we'll get time on this first visit. If we like it we'll be back...

Many thanks for that. We will still look at Carvoeiro too I think, having fond memories of such places as Rocha Brava. The Tavira area will be completely new to us.
