I posted on the thread linked above; I moved over without a degree on an L1B a few years ago. Like the advice you got, the lawyers said the blanket approach wasn't possible so an individual petition...

My initial L1B was approved in early 2015. Renewed / extended without issue in 2018, and green card late 2019.

I transferred on an L1B as a software developer without a degree, and while the lawyer (Fragomen) who prepared the petition did ask questions about degrees, it didn't seem to be a hard stop for them...

I used TransferWise this week – deposited the money in their euro account late Tuesday evening, and had the dollars in my account on Friday morning.
