Goodness, that is expensive..... More than 20 lira for a beer! I live in Istanbul where things have gone up but not that much thankfully.

yes he has a schengen visa valid until august 2016 but a few different people have told us that he cant go to the auslanderamt with a schengen visa and ask them to give him a residence permit. So not...

it depends how long you're going to stay and what kind of visa you get. If it's just a tourist visa, travel insurance is best but if you are planning on spending longer here, private insurance would...

That's what worries me too, but the money is in a foreign currency so the amount will be correct for the previous 6 months using the exchange rate on the day of application. As long as they calculate...

Hi hollyhock, yes you're right about the prices of meat, alcohol and fuel but the cost of living is still less than than uk for sure. Eating out in a normal 'family style' restaurant would cost less...
