Re: Speeding ticket

It strikes me as odd that ANSR should have sent you their notice rather than the car hire company. How did they get your address?

Re: Driving Licence Renewal

As the OP of this thread I thought I would report back on my experience of renewing my driving licence as required when you turn 70 and every 2 years thereafter. In fact I have done it twice: once...

Buying Power Tools in the Algarve

I wonder if anyone can reccomend anywhere in the Algarve to buy power tools (particularly woodworking tools as a table saw, mitre saw, router etc) which doesn't involve Leroy Merlin or Big Mat. I...

Re: Via Verde Visitors Transponder

You might consider https://www.emovis-tag.co.uk/ which is UK based and distributes tags on behalf of Sanef. You can get a tag which covers you for Portugal and Spain. If you want to drive on French...

Re: Video calls

I use Meo mobile internet in an area where voice is not very good but data is good enough for streaming Netflix to a smart TV for example and certainly OK for Zoom calls and the like.

Driving Licence Renewal

My Portuguese driving licence expires in a few months. Has anyone had recent experience of renewing it? Can it all be done online (apart from the medical obviously)?
Any hints and tips appreciated....

Re: Brexit - Residency - new Biometric cards - slight update

Yes, during the pandemic. It was painless and took just a few weeks as I remember. The biggest delay is probably the time it takes to send your old passport back. The new passport and the returned...

Re: Too late to establish residency?

Yep, that's what I would do. You cannot establish residency from abroad: you have to be here physically.
