OK... I think I see the problem I am having.

When I got my NIE and went to pay the fee at the bank it was just before 2pm. I returned to the police station with the receipt .

But they didn't...

It is... I had to go to the social security office to get it.

The problem is that a number of places I have been to have asked for the "tarjeta" even with my broken Spanish I know thats the card....

Neptuno... we won't be unpacking until after Christmas. My stepmum had a similar suggestion, but we have a 3-year old.... an extremely high energy...
