Re: Applying for MM2H early

For international schools, in addition to the school fees, you often have to pay entrance/registration fees (one time non refundable). In the case of Uplands, it is RM 7000. Then you have field trips...

Re: Applying for MM2H early

The fees depend on the grades, type of schools and locations. I don't know about local schools but for international schools for instance, the fees for high school in KL can be around 120k while in...

Re: Internet in Penang

I tried to call their Customer Service. I was put on hold for a long time and then got disconnected... Does anyone know if Time has an office in Penang where you can talk to a real person? Thanks.

You could downgrage to the cheaper package but the contract duration will be reset and you also loose any promotion/discount of the current contract if any (in my case the RM 20/month for new...

Re: Applying for MM2H early

Your daughter needs both a student pass and a visa to study in Malaysia.

They give the MM2H visa to children up to 21 years old or to the end of their passport expiration date, whatever comes...

Re: Internet in Penang

I have the c1200 but had to reboot the router to kick off that speed. I then did the speed test and the download was a big fat 500mbps while the upload was 39mbps, not bad!

Re: Internet in Penang

I got upgraded today by Time, from 100mbps (RM 149/month) to 500mbps (RM 139/month). Since I had a new customer's discount of RM 20 from August, my package is actually only RM 119 for 500mbps. Still...

Re: Applying for MM2H early

You and all your family members need to appear in Malaysia within 6 months of the approval. However, if you cannot make it, you can apply for an extension (if rules have not changed since we did it 4...

CIMB Preferred Acccount

Hi,
I was told that for a joint preferred account, only the principal card holder can have access to airport lounges, and even that only 4 times a year in Malaysia. Is that true?
Also, is this...

Re: BigPay, is it really big?

It might indeed be the case. My ticket is bought outside of Malaysia and for a flight also originating outside of the country.

Re: BigPay, is it really big?

Thb 180 is about USD 6. I'm surprised that Epicurious only paid RM 8. I tried Visa, Master cards from several American and Canadian banks, as well HSBC Malaysia debit card, all require USD 6. Maybe...

Unifi currently has several packages, for a monthly rate of RM 129 (10Mbps), RM 179 (30 Mbps), or RM 329 (100 Mbps). Meanwhile Time offers RM 149 for 100 Mbps. So indeed, Time is much more...

Re: BigPay, is it really big?

Interesting! I'm a Big member as well but they still charge me USD 6 for a one way ticket. So they have not changed their practice since the article... The only way to avoid the fees now is to join...
