We also came with our Aussie PR visa. We entered NZ in end of Dec 2004 and are now eligible to apply for NZ RRV. We are thinking of whether we should move to Aussie due to the new 4-year citizenship...

I got my PR in July, not validated yet. My husband got the PR 2 yrs ago and has already validated it. We plan to move to Oz in end of the year. But we want to try NZ for any job...

You are right if you are a current HECS or PELS student in Oz. Then you're still under the current HECS/PELs...
