Thanks all for your input....Grozzy that was a very useful link...thank you. We went with BUPA in the end to ensure 457 compliance and speed of getting the information for the application.

Can anyone tell us if they have used a UK insurance company called GoWalkabout? They have an emigration policy which covers travel and extends beyond arrival in Australia for up to 90 days medical...

Thanks for the link....and yes I can see your point (I am insurance averse!..I daren't count the amount of money I've paid in premiums over the years!). At this stage, as we haven't got confirmation...

Same as we would any holiday journey I suppose.....flight cancellations, loss/damage to baggage and medical emergency. It didn't occur to me not to.....perhaps we don't need to and that why it's...

Looking at travel insurance for our one way journey from UK to Perth? Seems that most insurers want a return date. Have found a couple online...just wondering if anyone can recommend anyone or share...

They have said just take his favourites but it's a bit vague....They said there is a tool allowance but not sure how expensive tools are out there...he's been in the trade a long time and has a lot...
