Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

Yes, actually! My husband received his approval around 30 minutes ago. I came here to share the news. I'm actually in the USA now and only a week into my family trip - he didn't miss out by much :(....

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

It's my understanding that there is an approval process at the Embassy before the waiver goes to DHS. Consulate Officer makes a recommendation, boss approves, then it gets sent. Makes sense for a...

Not a great deal of data but you can see that the last...

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

The juvenile exception to CIMT does not apply if you have committed more than one offence. You state you committed two. The crimes committed are therefore considered as part of your application.

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

It's possible that the timeframe is shorter for your visa type. My husband was told 6 months but we are in Australia. The waivers aren't considered at the consulate so they may not be in top of...

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

My husband is waiting on a waiver for his B1/B2 for a crime involving moral turpitude. He hits 8 months on 1 September and we leave for a family trip on 30 September. It seems likely with other wait...

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

What email address did you use? Is it for the ARO or the embassy you went to?

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

Thanks! This is our second time around. Last time he applied the whole process from application to passport was around 7 months so we thought 12 months would be more than enough but didn't anticipate...

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

Far out. Definitely looking like my husband won't be getting his visa in time for our family holiday. Frustrating considering we started this process 12 months ago (couldn't get an interview until...

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

He had his interview on 1 February so I imagine the recommendation was the same day or the following. Yes, embassy in Melbourne.
With the current wait times he won't get approval until October which...

Hi all! It has been around 10 years since I last posted in this thread back when my husband applied for his first visa. I have been lurking lately as my husband is awaiting the outcome of his second...

Re: hospital cover almost 1st year in here is perth,wa

Taking out hospital cover will really depend on what you want to get out of it. If you're looking to avoid the Medicare Levy, keep the following in mind:

- There are two components to the levy....

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

I am pretty sure that the waiver is noted on the visa from what I have read. I don't believe that they have the discretion to 'change their minds' in regard to visa eligibility given that they are...
