Thanks for that. When I mentioned switching it wasn't to try and bring my UK pot over to the US - but more to start contributing to a new US one.

I think though my UK contribution rates...

I'm currently a PR, wife is citizen and kids are US/ dual.

The two main scenarios I'm curious on are me passing on to my Family here, and also my parents passing on...

Yes Lansbury - that is the case - just trying to look ahead. I was thinking about switching from my UK work pension to my US equivalent. I think my UK matched contributions are much better so...

I've heard that inheritance tax is 'better' as a US citizen - any views?
Does it differ between 'receiving' from UK parents v 'giving' to US kids?

Thanks Penguin - they are both pretty old with a couple of ongoing conditions so I hate to think why the premiums might be - but Obamacare will sort it all out right?;-)
