Or it may have been that they required proof that we had been recently insured, they certainly asked for proof of our UK car insurance.

As for apartment living etc, you'll normally get a cooker, dishwasher and microwave in the rental but often have to pay extra to rent a fridge/freezer, washer and drier.

I'm pretty sure Progressive did give us the no claims discount as they kept chasing for the "proof" and threatening to put our premium up until I was able to send it to them. Needless to say it was...

I called them yesterday, 27th, and got an interview for April 5th so under two weeks! I understand its a further 5 days from the interview to get your passports back etc.
