are you leaving accounts into the UK? Depending on how much are you leave behind, you have different reporting requirements. also, if you come back to the US with UK pension scheme, there are ways...

It does get tricky with FBAR filings and Form 8938 which get filed at different times. Not many accountants are well versed in these issues.

Also, in addition to the FBAR, don't forget IRS Form 8938 about foreign assets if you exceed the thresholds.
