If you have 170k to spend you should be able to rent a good sized villa in Khalifa City A, B or Mohamed Bin Zayed City. I don't see why you would move to the middle of nowhere for that? The villas...

If you have no expenses to cover back home such as a mortgage I would say 38k will be tight but you will manage.

20k travel allowance will get you and your family to the UK and back twice a year,...

google maps works like a real gps. Better then a Garmin as you can look up by any saved/pinned location that exists on their maps.
