I've tried contacting the IRD, but none of the numbers on their website seem to work when calling on my mobile from the UK?! And you can't seem to email them as everything is done...

Having told my boss in the UK of our plans to emigrate in the next couple of months, he has said that I can have a trial run of continuing to do my work once in NZ!

It was a really great trip! Hubby managed to secure a great job offer and fell in love with the place completely!

Thanks Persephone! I contacted the London branch directly and they said that my case handler might still request an xray after the baby is born, so probably best to wait till the baby is born.

Great news - we have received our ITA! :D

I had declared on the EOI that I have a mildly underactive thyroid which is controlled by a low dose of thyroxine.

The EOI was still selected...

Is it a good idea to arrange police checks before submitting our EOI?

and is this the same as CRB check? Do I just contact the local police office - sorry if that's a really daft question!
