So I can work and sign contracts for jobs. Im fortunate as I already have a social security number and bank here from working on j1 visas. So I just cant sign an I-9 form.

Ive sent in my package with I765, I485 and an I131. Ive heard this can take up to 90 days for them to send back an EAD. I have a job waiting for me once it arrives. Am I right in thinking Im not...

well thats good and bad news, i already knew i couldn't work but i assumed It was illegal and could risk the visa if i got caught... i can find cash in hand jobs for the time being i think.

Looked into insurance - her work insurance is outrageously expensive. So is not an option really.


Where do i get insurance from the time I arrive up until I get work insurance through a job?

As far as im aware you pay each time for any filing? and it says on the UCIS guide that there is a fee for the I 765. S:


Also are you saying that doing both at once will get the EAD faster?

Thanks, yeah i plan to send them at the same time as it saves a little chunk of money.

I still have a few months before I to leave but I am just planning ahead and this question was bothering me...

It says on the london us embassy instructions " do not use form i-134 if the alien you are sponsoring is required to have form I-864 instead"

which i am required to have ( I-864 that is)....but...
