Well yes the truth is we are still together and actually plan to marry when I go there in May, hence I'm scared to get denied entry. I'm also worried to tell them I intend to get married.

Would it make a difference if I were to enter in to a different part of the states, or for example travel with somebody. Usually I am by myself.

oh dear, we are already in Paris and didn't bring a check, not so common for people to write checks anymore lol. I believe the fee is $535 correct? I guess we could try and get a check book sent here.

Ok, but I can go there on the b2 visa, get married, then my partner apply for the visa and then I return to the uk within the 6 months (as per my b2 visa)?

I was also under the impression he had to apply from the US he would then go for an interview and pick up how visa and passport.

Also his criminal record is just a misdemeanour and I was told that being denied doesn't affect a fiancé visa.
