Well yes the truth is we are still together and actually plan to marry when I go there in May, hence I'm scared to get denied entry. I'm also worried to tell them I intend to get married.

oh dear, we are already in Paris and didn't bring a check, not so common for people to write checks anymore lol. I believe the fee is $535 correct? I guess we could try and get a check book sent here.

Ok, but I can go there on the b2 visa, get married, then my partner apply for the visa and then I return to the uk within the 6 months (as per my b2 visa)?

Also his criminal record is just a misdemeanour and I was told that being denied doesn't affect a fiancé visa.
