Re: Mammaogram/Scan

Then that might be more of a problem, unless you know the name and dosage of the medication....... or can get it from the original prescriber.

Re: Mammaogram/Scan

This may seem a "duh!", but take the prescribed medication package with you - I can't say this will work in the Algarve, but out in the sticks the pharmacists seem to recognize the issues with...

Re: Mammaogram/Scan

I'd agree with trying the pharmacy, I can but both my statins and thyroxin over the counter in Portugal....... and it's actually cheaper than were I to pay for a prescription in the UK! Analgaesics...

Re: Intelsat 901 27.5w coming to the end?

Switzerland is not part of the EU, but I'm sure the requirement for the Swiss address is both part of the agreed licensing arrangements and also "absolves" Kabelio of any claims. However "legality"...

Re: Mammaogram/Scan

Thanks. The problem here is that I dare not miss an eventual appointment..... who knows when (and if) I would get another.

I hope your scan confirms the original diagnosis... being in limbo is no...

Re: Mammaogram/Scan

I too am awaiting a scan, but for a different reason (to check an initial diagnosis). In my case, nothing happened at first as (it seems) they only run one scheduling meeting a week. Then I was told...

Re: Mammaogram/Scan

Excellent. I like the idea that interpretation of tests is being carried out by someone other than the consulting medic, which should preclude any problems with testing to pove a diagnosis, rather...

Re: Mammaogram/Scan

Good to hear about the likely diagnosis - I like to hear about a medic who takes a holistic view of things.... and who has presumably checked for all the tell-tales of anything more sinister, rather...

Re: Moving to Spain

I think the key point here is that "Spanish people around here often use them", therefore people who have a legal habitation elsewhere in the country, who have residential status and who speak...

Re: Moving to Spain

Are you an EU citizen? If not, you will only be able to visit for 90 days in any 180..... so you may not be able to "chill out for 6 month of the year".

Also, I don't know about Spain, but I don't...

Re: Moving to Spain

I had to come here as your duplicate post on the Portugal forum was deleted.

I don't think that a property in Castro Marim is likely to be what the poster wants..... or at a price they might want...

Re: Moving to Portugal

I think you are approaching this from the wrong angle and need to do a deal more research.

Firstly, I don't know how much you know about Portugal, whether you speak any Portuguese, etc...... but...

Re: Trips Azores and Cape Verde

I'm guessing you mean separately... as there's almost 3000km between them - try https://www.abreu.pt/index.php Abreu is, IIRC, the oldest travel agency in Portugal

Of course, both destinations...

Re: Anti Depressants

But the stats are expressed in terms of scripts per 1,000 people already, not total per country....... so it's expressing the average number of prescriptions per person anyway, regardless of...

Re: Advogado demanding payment for work not done ~ Thoughts ?

I'd agree. Contract law in Portugal is not always logical...... you could be sued for a loss of potential earnings.

Re: Call/SMS only eSIM

SWMBO uses Uzo PAYG day-to-day, just for voice and SMS. No problems..... used to be cheaper, but so did a lot of things..........

Re: EU UK Free Trade Agreement

Unfortunately, as with many of these things, it is just a matter of time. However, the populist exploiters of chaos are on the march everywhere - and things are likely to get worse with the help of...

Re: EU UK Free Trade Agreement

Were this true, there would not be florists in the UK failing due to no longer being able to get fresh blooms imported, there would not have been a wholesale collapse of the fresh seafood export...

Re: CGT on Sale of Inherited Property

If you leave the club, you lose the benefits - and the UK rejected free movement, so denying any influx of capital from Portuguese expats in the UK.

I think you'll find it difficult to get the...

Re: ISV on imported cars is illegal: owners deserve at least partial reimburseme

In the UK, second-hand company vehicles fuelled the market for diesel against primarily petrol-based private cars, but it is likely to take a hit soon. Many companies supplied EVs as company cars due...

Re: CGT on Sale of Inherited Property

I have to say that in this, as in so much else, the rules that apply in the UK are meaningless, Portuguese rules apply to taxation of Portuguese property and income. As in the UK, in matters of...
