Re: Newark Walk-in Advance Parole?

Hi there, I don't have personal experience with Newark, sorry, but I hate to say that there's probably nothing they can do unless it's an emergency. When we inquired about our applications at our...

Re: Using AP for the first time at Canada/VT border

Thanks for posting the experience. We'll hopefully be using ours at the NY/Ontario border next weekend (Queenston). I imagine we'll have a similar experience in that they get confused over it,...

Re: AP and EAD approved!!!! =) =) =) =)

Congrats Monica!!! :) Finally!

Rukhie, I agree with Monica that contacting a congressperson helps indeed. The day after we contacted our congressman about our AP, it was approved.

AP Approved out of NBC!

Yea!! :D My hubby's AP application was approved out of NBC today, 08/19. We filed on 04/26 and had a notice date of 05/11. The approval came just in time for us! Just thought I'd share for others...

Re: Expire an intetim EAD

Congrats! :D

If an EAD doesn't get approved by then, what would it be at that point, 240+90 days...about 11 months, then that would be utterly crazy! Esp. when recent applicants are getting EADs...

Re: Trust your mailbox, not online case status (AP!)

You don't follow your local office timeline; it is not processed by your local office if you have an MSC case number. My local office doesn't even post processing time reports anymore, so how could...

Re: AR11 -change of address question

Yes, definitely contact the NBC (if that's where your stuff is processing) and local office.

I also originally called the misinformation line and updated our address. But then when we went to our...

Re: AP Approved

I didn't think you were a K3 :) It's just that most of the people who I've heard of contacting the ombudsman happen to be people who filed the I-129F at Missouri. Good luck - I hope that does the...

Re: Latest EAD Approval

Wow, you're too calm about it, compared to me lol. Yeah, in Buffalo they used to do walk in EADs and issued APs in 2 weeks, so when my fiance came over that's what we were expecting. Why'd they...

Re: AP Approved

Oh, don't write the Ombudsman; lots of K3 people have written to him and it's taken a couple months to get an answer. I think you'll see more results by writing to a member of congress. Good luck!

Re: Latest EAD Approval

Yes, if I were you I would definitely get the interim.

As I said, they are going completely out of order for approvals - no one knows why. I know of a couple people waiting since March and April,...

Re: Latest EAD Approval

Do a search on this forum, there have been some recently.

You can have a look at this thread, http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=10928
It lists filing dates, NOA dates, and...

Re: EAD e-filing -- recommended or not?

From recent reports from people who've e-filed the AP, I think it's more likely to go awry. I've not heard of it being faster.

Good luck! Kirsten

Re: renewing EAD and AP in Cleveland

Hi Leanne! It's Kirsten from Can/Am.

I wanted to warn you about e-filing. Many people who have done it have reported getting an RFE because the MSC claims they never received the supporting...

Re: AOS Problem is getting worse

Okay, well, I will concede that there are people like that here, but are there not people like that everywhere? From what you say it sounds like you think "people like that" only live in the US.

Re: Online status updater people

Yep, and I'm also learning just how pointless the processing time reports are too. They're pointless and you'll just drive yourself crazy if you pay attention to them! :)

Re: Misinformation Line - Receipts AOS/EAD/AP

Yep, that's it. In terms of scheduling the biometrics, all they ask for is the MSC receipt number and the ASC codes - they have no way of knowing that you actually don't have the paper NOA. ...

Re: Misinformation Line - Receipts AOS/EAD/AP

Well, the ASC code on the NOAs is 2 for the EAD and 3 for the AOS. I don't have the NOAs in front of me though - it could be the other way around!

Good luck! ~Kirsten

Re: Expire an intetim EAD

Oh that's really cute of them -- so if they take an obscenely long time to approve some applications, while meanwhile approving some others in 1-2 months, we need to pay the application fee AGAIN? ...
