yeh i realize that. Im sure they'll want us to train cheaper labor to do the job at some point and the whole thing will be completely run by emeraties.

we're staying at the Mirfa Hotel at the moment but will be moving to Abu Dhabi once visas etc are sorted!

So you'll probably be working with the Italians then? They are the track people.

Yeh, its not a bad services for a small one. Its only been there about 10 or 12 years.
I couldn't comment on newcastle as I've only been to the small rail depot opposite the angel of the north once!...

Fair point, you are a hardened northerner! I'm originally from shropshire but now reside in nottingham, north for me anyway. The desert is just too hot or too cold!:D

Well, obviously I don't know exactly what the roads are like as I'm not there yet. I do know that the project is rather expensive so it must justify being built! I can understand peoples scepticism....

Well I'm not there yet! Couple of weeks ill be there though!
As for passenger trains, it will take a long time I know. I work on freight which is all done via road at the momnent, taking up a lot...

I appreciate what you're saying and yes, mirfa is a good distance away from Abu Dhabi but this is just the start point. The network will run along the whole of the emerates in the future to include...
