Sorry meg, I didn't get any notifications. I've just paid nearly £400 to have my 4 cats passports done and have their rabies vacs. I asked my vet & she checked. They do need a passport for ireland....

As not to old (another very good source of knowledge) has said, the estate agents can be less than enthusiastic sometimes but hold in there if you're serious. Sick n Tired is a fountain of knowledge...

I called Danske Bank today. 00353 14843721 (if calling from UK, knock off one 0 if from ROI). The lady had to ask before hand as she was unsure if you could open an account while living in the UK.

Some guides to fee's and charges on Irish banks. Most of them you have to have a balance of 2.5 or 3k to get "free banking"

I did have a quick scan of fee's on the Irish banks. A good few of them has charges. The fella was saying on the phone to me.

Once you get to 60 at ulster Bank the fee's are waived, it's called...

Try the UK Katy, you'll get loads of help from the social or DSS over there.

They usually employ foreign nationals to do jobs like care work and cleaning now for the basic minimum wage....
