So Midwesterners love our accents? I'll keep that in mind picking a university for my SE. Philly isn't in stone yet.

Yes, it seems the last two options are the only available ones.

Canada is still a possibility AFAIK ;)

No, but watching Frasier they always portray northerners (Daphne's family) as drunken morons. I just wondered if most Americans thought that about us? For the record half of my family are Scousers ;)

Not a 'boor', possibly a 'bore' ;) I should be okay then, I come from a middle-class family and not a big drinker - so I won't live up to the negative stereotype.
