With regards the income figures being double on the I-864 than they are on the 1040, she is saying that her US social security comes on top and that is not taxable.

It just seems crazy that if we were not married, I would be able to go with him, then adjust status once we are established, but because we are married, there doesn't seem to be any provision for us...
