Thanks for clarifying the P85 issue.

I was wondering if the advisory wage can be classed as 'merely incidental' income on my tax return. As it is not linked to my job aborad.

I'll examine the mortgage avenue under my wifes name, as she has a reasonable credit rating. The location will be in an area where her family live and recommend renting.
