Yeah 7hours would be too much, I am thinking of spending some time in Penang. Flights are a good price from JB so I think that may be the way to do...

Hi bakedbean, yes I have a two year contract and start work on the 14th August, I arrive on the 2nd, so hopefully that will give me sometime to settle in and take a look around, I visited in December...
