Thanks again. Was thinking , why 28 days before expiry date? Do they make the 2nd decision that much faster? And will he have to surrender his passport like before?

Husband is here as of June 2018 on spouse visa, 2 1/2 years. Can he apply for ILR or do we need to go through whole process again? Now he is here, is process easier, how far in advance do I start...

Yes, my decision was made Oct 17th, they tell me it will take 10 business days to receive documents by courier. So still waiting....

Good advice, thank you :) That makes sense. We purchased the (cheap) flights months ago before all these delays started, so have been getting a bit anxious!

We both have return tickets to US because it was cheaper than buying a one way! Stupidly, I booked flights months ago when the visas were being handle promptly!...

When we made the decision to go from US to UK, it was many months ago, when the turnaround time was about 6 weeks. So, (don't yell at me) we decided we would apply August 1st which is 3 months before...
