This sounds about the most sane approach to take.... but were you resident as of the 31st Dec? If so, how did you avoid submitting the Model 720? What document / certificate is needed to declare...

What is the risk to this contingency? Would the Hacienda not still attempt to make a charge on the assets that have been declared in future years? Or would they make charges for past years if...

This question has probably already been asked - so apologies - but could Fred (?) remind me - while declaring the UK property bought 1988, but with a mortgage - do you declare the purchase price...

Several people in this discussion have said that they will revert back to UK tax domicile and give up resident status - at least that's what I thought they planned - how do you inform the Hacienda...

My presumption was that one would form a UK Company as a non resident ... the web site that I linked to seems to be too optimistic about eliminating taxes .. .does anybody have any experience of this...
