I'm in the same position and just employed a lawyer to sort it out. If you are in a skilled profession (class O or Class A) you can get a temp work permit. For some professions you need a Labor...

There are so many films and TV shows filmed in Toronto that you would probably get a job in that industry if you wanted to. Even if it was admin for one of the studios.

I think they mainly deal with rental buildings where they are the sole landlord for all the units. Some of these can be truly horrific. They are cheap though.

If you're after a condo your best bet is to use a Realtor. They don't charge the tenant anything and they sort out all the contracts and everything. If you're not used to it the Canadian renting...

It doesn't work out that expensive split between the two of us. There are smaller, cheaper units with the same access to amenities as well.

Urghh... I forgot it is my 30th in May as well. They must have the online thing working because all the other countries in Europe can apply already. Even Irelands applications went live yesterday....

I'm in canada now but my visa runs out on 23rd April. I only need the IEC for a few months while I sort out my residency. I'm really worried that i'll end up getting kicked out by the time they open...

Is it me or have they finally updated the page..... but all they've done is take off the promise that it will open by tomorrow. There is still no Kompass link and it still says that they are closed...
