It's more the fact that you are talking rather than what you are talking about. Personally I'd print a page before the wedding and one page every month or two, just to prove that there is ongoing...

A tourist visa is rarely granted if you have the right to use the VWP - you will chances are be turned down. And then you will not be eligable to use the VWP, so chances are you would end up not...
