If your employer is govermental, they don't ask about 6 months bank statment so your family will get PR quickly.

I checked with the employer and he says some people took it in 3 months, so it seems there is no definitive rule here. As far as I know, govermental employee don't need to wait 6 months.

Well, obviously it varies from one to another, but for myself and my family I believe 10k QAR will be the monthly minimum for food.

It is possible, but the problem as I said is the visa, which is out of their hands. I know cases where it took more than 7 months to get a visa. The country is so complicated and I advise avoiding it.

Visa process can take a very long time. Certainly it is too short from now to September, this is if they respond at all.

It depends on experience, and passport. I think it varies between 17k to 20k for assistant professor in Engineering. Other fields may be different.
