I got an invite today, which means that the occupation ceiling for Business/System analyst is still not reached (or atleast not till this Feb-4 round of invitations). I don't know how this happened -...

thanks (belated) for your response... I did apply for the skills assessment as System Analyst and got a successful assessment on Jan 21. I also submitted the EOI immediately.

I see that the occupation ceiling for System analyst role has nearly been reached. As on 31st December 2012, 1594 out of 1800 invitations have been already sent out.
