Re: Hamilton or Auckland?

Re: Doctors?

Hi, I worked in health care for the 6 years I was here and believe me it will be no less hectic in NZ. Staff shortages, less holidays and lower pay are just a few of the downsides.

Re: Should we emigrate to NZ? Looking at Christchurch.

I think that if you are the kind of person that likes to live in places like Timaru or any of those small, simple isolated places then NZ is propabably for you. Living in NZ is really a totally...

Re: Pros and Cons of Christchurch

Sorry but can't agree with this if you talk to most kiwis they will say it depends on which school you go to or went to as to which friends you make. I had this from the horses mouth on several...

Re: Who's gone to NZ - left and gone back again?

I was in NZ for 6 years and realised that NZ is a long way to go to get away from whatever it is you need to get away from. Yes the UK stinks sometimes as does anywhere once you have got over the...

Re: What alternative viewpoints are allowed?

I don't think people mean to get personal although it may sound that way. I was very frustrated with my move to New Zealand and I must admit I felt I needed to post a few things just to get them off...

Re: Cost of Housing in mount wellington

You would probably expect NZ to be a dog friendly country but in my experience it is far from it. It's a nightmare trying to find a rental with a dog, no matter which area you are in. Most beaches...

Re: My findings so far; pre-emigration

I was in NZ for 6 years and saw prices in all departments rise to ridiculous levels, so much so we had to leave as our living conditions became far worse than what we left behind in Europe. This...

Re: $24 per hour???

Depends on the lifestyle you are after. If you are just looking for an outdoor lifestyle, hiking, surfing etc then you would be okay but if you are used to a good social life forget it, you will...
