Yes, we did but I did have a firm job offer, not sure that makes any difference though. We opened a savings account online and went into London to validate identities and also open joint current...

We've just set up current and savings accounts with Westpac from the UK. Was easy - one visit to the bank with passports and proof of address. Done. Picking ATM cards etc up when I'm in Hamilton in...

Hi, we had ours done this week.

Doubt you can have the bloods done first. It has to be done by an outfit authorised by NZ Immigration so you'd need to make a visit anyway and could get confusing...

Thanks - no not with a govt organisation. Timing of getting paid not too important to me so will probably go with Westpac as looking online can't see any advantages of any other banks.
