The average "day to day" living is way more here.. you obviously haven't done your food shopping in England ;). Also Tower Hamlets is a little more "central" than living on the Danforth.

Immigration don't like things stapled etc. so best to put them into envelopes, i think we did ours by significant events (ie, "Laurens Birthday" "Anniversary") then just had another envelope for...

After Application received it should say "medicals received" then "in process" then finally "Decision made" but we all know how unreliable ECAS is so a lot of people just go to "Decision Made", some...

Our lawyer told us that common law is after 1 year of living together... any date before that, you aren't common law so you can't say you entered into a common law relationship the day you moved in...

ECAS, for a lot of people, goes straight to Decision Made.. and yes, some people just have it turn up at their door before their status even changes from application...

Your situation sounds the same as my boyfriends' and I.

As for the whole 'visiting thing' well he was on an IEC also and we started living together and have stayed that way even after it expired....

Hi Mark,

1 - Yes everyone has to undergo a medical. CIC issue a list of all practitioners you are able to see. They will then send off your results, (you don't actually see them) and immigration...

They use registered Royal Mail. I know what you mean, i won't be leaving the house either 'just in case'!!! lol, i'd say you should get by tomorrow or Monday:thumbsup:

Hey Stu,

sometimes people don't get an e-mail and COPR is just sent out after ECAS changes...thats why some people who don't check ECAS often just have their COPR turn up in the post. I'm sure...
