Re: What happens when you receive priority date

Yep.

Re: transit advice

It's not just the weather - sometimes for the later flights in the same day, it is a delay from previous legs. Are you on an early morning flight out from IND? These have better chance to make it on...

Re: transit advice

Oh, I won't disagree that it is very tight and I would try to never have such connections. But it does not mean that it cannot be done if the first flight is on time.

If the ticket is already...

Re: transit advice

Let's agree to disagree on US Airways.

Connecting in CLT way too often and that is one of the easiest hubs in US to connect in. Things can go wrong now and again but that is not different from...

Then you do NOT need to collect luggage or clear security again - all the terminals are in the same building and behind security so once you are inside, you stay there. Just get off the plane and go...

Re: What's next after we enter the US with our L1/L2 visa

Maybe. But everyone that landed on the other coast compared to where they filed had delays back then - and the only person that landed on the West Coast and filed there got the records in place in 10...

Re: What's next after we enter the US with our L1/L2 visa

Where did you clear immigration when you entered? On the East Coast?

Re: What's next after we enter the US with our L1/L2 visa

More than 10 days if you land on the East Coast and you apply for the SSN closer to the West Coast (almost 4 weeks for me back in 2010). Now - I hope that Homeland's systems had improved but just...

Make sure you carry your documents (the signed petition and everything else the consulate gave you back) in your hand luggage when you travel - and not in the checked in luggage

Good luck and...

Re: L2 visa, date at entry into US today

Maybe. Or maybe there is a logical explanation (changed employer somewhere along the line for example). But you won't know until she speaks with someone in her company.
