Oh Burt, did you find the schools helpful in general? I wondered about going in and asking a few questions but wasn't sure how receptive people would be or if they'd think I was just a nosy English...

We're hoping to move to a small town or suburb near Valencia next summer. Our children will then be 6, 5 and 1. We haven't been able to find out much about schools.

It does sound like slave labour if you think of it as childcare - it's supposed to me more of a cultural exchange. So the au pair is treated as a member of the family, does the things that you do,...

I don't know if it's the same but we had a Spanish au pair here in England for the summer. She did 25 hrs a week and was paid Â£70 for it, along with room and board.
