You are obviously not a pet owner.

They are my pets. They are not like bits of furniture or things you get rid of and replace when they are no longer suitable.

Yes, that's sort of like what I have, it's a "real" letter, with personalised information specific to my partner in an electronic form, it's just not been actually written by hand in ink and sent...

Thanks guys, I think I'm going to email my partner's boss myself today and then just ask him to send me the emailed letter in paper form, and send it as fast as he can, and take the postage costs...
