Double glazing and central heating with radiators I wish -we live on a hillside and its Baltic in the winter We have ducted gas heating but its no where near as good a radiators

Hubby gets £54 I get £27 but not sure how much the UK pension is in full as everyone seems to get a different rate ?

My daughter was 16 and son 15 when we emigrated -our daughter hated everything about Oz and took a long time to settle where as our son took to it like a duck to water
Things did settle eventually...

Forgot ! I also can transfer money direct form my Aussie account to my UK one -I had to organise it in the branch not via the net but its an easy electronic transfer and normally the money is there...

I still have an account with Lloyds which has my Aussie address on -they will post new cards to Oz and statements etc allthough I dont get paper statements I do it online

Very difficult system to understand my hubby had about 20 years contributions when we emigrated then another 5 years from 2001 -2006 when we were back in the UK - better than nothing I suppose and...

Thats correct in some ways as in frozen when you claim but the amount is based on what its was when you emigrated -my hubby claimed in 2007 but does not get 2/3 rds

Sorry but the 2/3rds bit is not correct the UK pension is frozen at what it was when you emigrated
IE we left in 1982 hubby receives £54 a week and I receive £27 per week
Its paid into our Aussie...

Aquis can be VERY picky car had to be steam cleaned twice here despite it being done in the UK
Its untreated wood ,cane etc they look at closely too

Just make sure most things are perfect -but AQUIS took a wand off my Santa and a Xmas dec so maybe not pack them
They also steam cleaned and pulled to pieces and elctric lawnmower so think twice...
