Thnaks larrryx. Whilst I recognise the law in the UK and would say that I had not given him permission to ride the bike without insurance, does this apply in Spain? In respect to him receiving a fine...

Thanks Rosemary I suppose at the end of the day I will just have to pay the fine and harass my partners son for the money. However it has helped just to share my worries.
