Re: IEC 2013

Hadn't emailed CIC yet, but had an email just now saying that there was a message in MyCIC account.

And they've reissued my POE, with the correct date (14/5/2014 yay!) without me even having to...

Re: IEC 2013

I'm not 100 % sure about the country where applying, but you have to tell the truth in the forms - that your country of residence is Canada. Don't ask me why you have to put England as your county of...

Re: IEC 2013

HTH :)

Re: IEC 2013

I figured that it was just the glitch - that my application had actually been approved, but my POE just wasn't appearing in MyCIC account :)

Edit: So if my validity date is the 19th March, and I...

Re: IEC 2013

At this point, I'm not even surprised :p

I found it funny that I got a message in my Kompass account saying I'd been approved, welcome to Canada, before I got my POE in MyCIC account :p

Re: IEC 2013

I know I can search for the problem - that was more a frustrated "I swear this thing is neverending" post :p

Though I am impressed that they sent me my POE without me having to chase them up...

Re: IEC 2013

Finally got my POE, but it says "Permit Validity 2013/03/19"
and:
"You must enter Canada no later than the validity noted above."

Which is physically impossible, since I only got the POE today...

Re: IEC 2013

I'm pretty sure I've heard of people with the same problem reapplying, with a letter of explanation as to why they were refused the first time.

Re: IEC 2013

Very confused - got a new message on my Kompass account (subject line says Welcome to Canada, but can't open it to see what it says until I get to my computer), but I still haven't got my LOI on...

Re: IEC 2013

Couple of people were mistakenly rejected for "frequency of participation" - CIC didn't realize that participation under the old BUNAC visas didn't count.

I know of a couple of people who were...

Re: IEC 2013

I really don't know :( Thought I was interviewing for a temporary job, until I got to the interview. But the job sounds ideal - something I'm actually qualified to do, using my language skills (plus...

You have to put your current...
