As being the main applicant no need to accompany your family with you, however if you prefer no worries, but not mandatory.
Bank statement is fine but not the main issue while applying to the TRV,...

As fr as I can remember the site says 3 months to reply but they replied me in two months. Yes resume and IELTS is enough but I sent detailed resume with attachments

Only one email for AOR, and some VOs confirm receiving the file by mail, but normally next email is from the VO for medical or additional documents. However you can send CIO an enquiry email which...

1- CIC submission to AOR = 2 month
2- AOR to Medical request = 6 months (differs according to Visa Office)
3- Medical sending to Visa issuance = 3 month

The Visa is valid for 1 year from the medical.
