That's an amazing deal for the tickets! Where did you find it?

We have no exact travel dates yet, but I want to plan my summer holidays now.

We live in Albany, NY, originally I'm from Russia,...

Re: Uk passport renewal times in the USA

It may do.
Sent the form for my daughter's passport renewal in the end of January, today - right two months later received a text from DHL regarding tomorrow delivery. The countersignatory was a...

Re: UK property - depreciation

I agree, however, the IRS recommend to use a "reasonable / logical" source of information, in some cases they just take 60-80% of the total house price for depreciation purposes.

Both the...

Re: UK property - depreciation

One more question - if I submit 4868, will IRS definitely agree with the tax period extension? If they reply after April 15th that they cannot accept it for some reason, will I fail instantly my tax...

Re: UK Child Trust Fund and FBAR\Form 8938

Hmm, from CHTF statements it appears that a parent is a "contact person". Is he/she a nominee or a trustee?

Should CHTF account balance (which belongs to the child) be added to the parent...

Re: UK property - depreciation

2011 was the first year - it appears that I have 1year+ from now.
Would it the best to file 2013 with the old numbers, then find a CPA after April 15 and re-do everything for 2011-2013?

Re: UK property - depreciation

Thank you! I will definitely visit a CPA, now I try to find the best one for this case. And there is a good point that I need one experienced in this field.

ADS cannot be changed once selected, but can I switch from 27.5 to ADS?
P.S. I didn't mean the above link was incorrect. I found it to be opposite to the other link I cited earlier. Both of them...

Thanks! I found the opposite statement as well: http://biztaxlaw.about.com/od/glossarya/g/ADSdepreciation.htm

It might be possible that different CPAs will have different points of view and now I...

Re: Uk passport renewal times in the USA

BTW, after they contacted you - did you online status changed?

Their guideline says you can use either A4 or a US format - could it be a problem of the printer?

Re: UK property - depreciation

I read it.... What did you mean saying "primarily"? The property is used for rent and its residential.
Anyway I will be filing my returns with a CPA in the future, but need to gain some knowledge...

Re: UK property - depreciation

Is it a must? Previously it was discussed here it would be a very unlikely case.
Once again, if you have any formal link - I would appreciate it a lot.

Re: UK Child Trust Fund and FBAR\Form 8938

Then I made a mistake by stopping the existing DD, but I'm too lazy to send them another form again.
