It seems in Colorado DWAIs are considered misdemeanors, and two of my partner's DWAIs took place in that state.
In Arizona, where the DUI took place, the 1st and second DUIs are considered 1st class...

Re: I-129F and DUI

Thanks for your input, Rete. I am talking about the form I-129F.

Jeffreyhy, I understand what you are saying, but it's still 3 or more convictions for crimes relating to alcohol.
Unless,...

Re: I-129F and DUI

Rete,

Correct, the American is the one with the record (apparently, it's only 1 DUI and then 3 DWAIs).
But, do we still need to show the court records, etc. concerning these offenses in the...

Re: I-129F and DUI

Thank you, Rene, will do.

Now, in the Form I-129F, there's a section asking to describe our relationship - when we met, etc-, but it only has 3 short lines. Should we give a very short, three...

Re: I-129F and DUI

Rene, it doesn't let me write that many letters in the space -only 14 characters allowed in the blank space. What if I write "I-129F K1 visa"?

Re: I-129F and DUI

One more question: about my fiancee police records, etc, can he send in photocopies or does it have to be originals, or notarized copies?

Thanks!

Re: I-129F and DUI

Understood, Rene. You're right, they could ask more questions regarding the letter from the State Attorney, and just delay the process.

Thanks again!

Re: I-129F and DUI

Thank you, civilservant and Rene. He will disclose it. Should he write a letter briefly explaining each incident and its punishment for each if any, on top of the whatever police records he has? ...

My American fiancee is ready to start the K1 process and file the petition, but he's had 2 DUIs and 2 DWAIs many years back while in college, (1991 was the latest). He's now in his 40s. ...

Re: Denied B2 twice, what next?

Rene, I thought the applicants for the J-1 visa also had to prove ties to their country to avoid a 214b refusal.

Re: Visa and ESTA

I understand. I´ll present my case as best as I can. I'm also hoping that, even if the visa is denied for lack of ties, I'll at least be able to prove I was always legal, and maybe ESTA will clear...

Hello again,
Here's my case:
In December 2011 I was denied a B2 visa for lack of ties to my country. I was going to remodel a property I have in FL and it was going to take longer than 3 months. ...
