Re: Moving my Businesses to the US

Re: Moving my Businesses to the US

After a bit more research, it looks like I *might* be eligible for an EB1. Alternatively, it sounds like I should just cut my losses and wrap up my companies, get over there (somehow!) and start them...

Re: Internet Access / Providers in the US

Well, the reason I started this thread was because I'm aware that the US is vastly different from the UK - I wanted to know how different :)

Your replies have given me a lot of information - I now...

Re: Moving my Businesses to the US

To be honest, I think I'm just getting things muddled up - there's a lot of info to take in and read, and I'm right in the middle of arranging a wedding, and a busy period with two of my businesses....

Re: Moving my Businesses to the US

We're getting married in 6 weeks time (then spending a month travelling from NY to FL :D), so that won't be a problem. My financeé is unskilled unfortunately, so she would rely on me getting a visa....

Moving my Businesses to the US

I've been reading quite a lot of info in regards to which visa route would be most appropriate for me, and obviously I'm a little unsure about it all!

I run three small businesses in the UK, and I...

Re: Internet Access / Providers in the US

Sorry - I was under the impression that there would be a split of american and british members here :) I like to be thorough, which doesn't always do me any favours :) No offence intended.

I...

Re: Internet Access / Providers in the US

OK, great stuff :)

We get charged for installation too, and there are additional services that I've not got, but it sounds like it might be a similar price in the long run, which (in exchange rate...

Re: Internet Access / Providers in the US

OK, thanks - that gives me a clearer idea... so it sounds pretty cheap in comparison to our prices. I pay about £60 for the 60mb connection + the best TV package.

I'm still researching the visa...

Re: Internet Access / Providers in the US

Thanks for your reply :)

It's likely to be CA that I move to, but I'm not completely sure yet... haven't got that far. It will need to be somewhere with lots of tech jobs - I contract in the UK...

Internet Access / Providers in the US

Hey there!

To avoid repeating myself / cross posting, I'm new and I just posted an intro in the welcome inn (http://britishexpats.com/forum/showthread.php?t=764138). On to my first question :)

Re: Hi everyone!

Thanks Sue :)

I'm trying to remain positive, even though the road is going to be a long one. I'm fairly motivated though, so I'll put as much energy as I can spare in to it.

Hi everyone!

Hi everyone! Chris here, from the UK.

I'm looking to move to the US (CA preferred) any time after September. I've been thinking about it for a long time, and only recently started researching. A...
